Is Google preparing to launch its tablet PC that would go up against the Apple iPad ? Google Now Lets You Add Stars on News Easily

Noticed something different from Google News lately? Nope? Go ahead and check out Google News site .  You'd notice those "un-highlighted" star icons before the title of each news items . Clicking on those star icons would turn them into yellow stars. Now check the left side of  the Google News site and you'd see a new link labeled "Starred." This means that when you see a business phone number on a mobile ad  for a particular establishment, you can simply tap on the phone number and make the call. Google Adds More Extensions to Latest Chrome Browser

Google has just released the latest and most stable release build of its Chrome browser for Windows.  Most notable features are the additional of more Chrome browser extensions and of course bookmark sync which has been tested in the browser's previous beta version. If you have not donwloaded the previous Chrome browser beta version, you might have missed the Extensions feature. These are just your usual Firefox plug-ins/add-ons which extend the functionality of the browser.

In a bid to make search results more relevant , Google is introducing two new features which were actually based from two of its experiemental products - Google Squared and Rich Snippets. These two new features are - highlighting of answers in search results and Rich Snippets for events. Answer highlighting allows users to get the information they need quickly just by bolding out the likely answers to their questions for search results with factual answers.

Google Still the Top Search Property Worldwide in 2009

Latest data from comScore are showing familiar trends in the global search market once again, except for one peculiar point.  Interestingly, while Google retains its lead among the search properties worldwide, Microsoft's search market share seemed to be growing by leaps and bounds.
