Paid Stumbles, Social Bookmarking Or Just Promotion?
Sunday, July 6, 2008, 14:13:27 GMT by Brick Marketing
In case you are not familiar with the concept, StumbleUpon allows you to pay for visitors to your pages, five cents per visitor or click. The question is, do you consider this to be a simple form of paid advertising, or paid social bookmarking. On a simple level, it is just paid advertising and not social bookmarking. If you set a limit of $20 per day, you will get 400 visitors. They may stay on your page or they may spend five seconds and dissapear.

Are Your Ads Getting Clicked On )Why Not(?
Sunday, July 6, 2008, 14:05:27 GMT by Brick Marketing
The surest way to ensure that your ads are getting clicked on )outside of using the right keywords( is to write ads that demand a click through. In other words, the content within your ads are of prime importance. If your ads aren't being clicked on and you know you are targeting the right keywords, you might want to tweak your ad content and write better copy.

Web 2.0 At Its Best - Redirect To Myspace
Sunday, July 6, 2008, 02:11:43 GMT by Brick Marketing
A different marketing gimmick that is creeping into many businesses, particularly bricks and mortar businesses, is to establish a catchy URL, set up a page on Myspace, and have that URL redirect to the Myspace page. A slightly different twist to alternative domain names that all redirect to the one main domain. It's a clever marketing ploy, particularly for bricks and mortar businesses as a page on Myspace can be easier to establish than creating a web site from scratch.

Knock! Knock! Anyone Home At Feedburner?
Saturday, July 5, 2008, 16:29:03 GMT by Brick Marketing
Since being acquired by Google, Feedburner seems to be a backward slide into Googleism.  Many may not be familiar with Google's lack of information, read any of their blogs and you only get a slight insight into what they are up to - Feedburner is saying even less. There is no information coming out of Feedburner now. There have been no ' Publisher Tips ' since August 2007 and nothing on the official Feedburner ' Blog ' since May this year.

David Szetela brings up a very important point when he mentions in this article that the display URL on your ads don't have to conform to a single web page URL on your web site. He gives to examples, which are reprinted below: Outdoor Furniture Durable Patio Beauty. See Low Prices on Top Brands! www.FranksFurniture.com/Outdoor and the second example is: Outdoor Furniture Durable Patio Beauty. See Low Prices on Top Brands! Outdoor.FranksFurniture.

Are You Upfront With Your Readers?
Friday, July 4, 2008, 00:56:39 GMT by Brick Marketing
One of the biggest issues with the use of the internet is the security of information that is often collected as visitors pass through. What is missing from many websites including blogs is something as simple as a privacy policy. A privacy policy should be a part of every blogs design and should be one of the first items created when starting a site. The format can be very simple or quite involved.  You can see our privacy policy , which is quite involved,

Driving Traffic: Does Your TLD Matter?
Thursday, July 3, 2008, 16:03:30 GMT by Brick Marketing
I'm not sure what the purpose of this post from PPC Blog was supposed to be, but I'm sure I don't agree with the title. I don't think you necessarily need the .com TLD for your domain name. It's nice if you can get it, but you can build a solid business without it. The following comment, though, near the bottom of the blog is definitely not correct: Getting all relevant TLD's for each country in my opinion can still be the safest way to go.

Wednesday, July 2, 2008, 19:58:50 GMT by Brick Marketing
While press release writing is something that just about every business can benefit from and while it follows a pretty straightforward format, the reality is that there are some people who just are not interested in writing their own press releases )some of them are writers(: )source( As you writers out there probably know, one way to market a book is to use a PRWeb Press Release )http://www.prweb.com/( . It's not free, but it's a good way to get the word out.

Goodbye Google Referrals - Hello Google Affiliates
Wednesday, July 2, 2008, 00:35:04 GMT by Brick Marketing
It had to happen somewhere along the line following Google's acquisition of DoubleClick. From the end of August Google Referrals will be no more. The referral network will be replaced by the affiliate network. Earlier in the year Google reduced the number of referral sellers by restricting them to certain regions, concentrating mainly on the North American continent. It seems the affiliate program will also concentrate on this region.

Blogging Tips To Commenting
Tuesday, July 1, 2008, 04:46:03 GMT by Brick Marketing
One way to gain links back to your blog is by visiting other blogs and leaving comments. This however takes time, a commodity that some people have little off to spare. It should be realized that comments do more than just create links. Commenting also exposes you and your blog to other individuals. This can lead to an increase in visitors. Create a list of related blogs that you enjoy reading or that add to your own knowledge in a particular field.
