How I Hijacked Copyblogger
Okay, maybe it's nothing quite as glamorous as a hijacking, but I have pulled off a pretty good trick, I think. Two months ago, I started writing a book tied to a training program called Partnering Profits . This week, we've introduced the training to 45,000+ Copyblogger subscribers. Over the next few months, it'll turn into a full-fledged business that I'm co-owner of. I don't say it to brag. In all honesty, I kind of cheated, at least in the eyes of some people.

Is Blogging Keeping You Poor?
They're laughing at us. Did you know that? Right now, someone who refers to himself as an "Internet marketer" is sitting in his bedroom, dressed in nothing but his undies, laughing at how hard bloggers work for how little money we make. We drive ourselves to creative exhaustion by expecting ourselves to pump out a never-ending stream of remarkable content " a stream that, even in the best of cases, only pulls in a couple hundred bucks a month in advertising revenue.

Are You a Wannabe?
We've all been there. You're talking to someone you'd like to impress, and you're making a fool of yourself. You keep trying to find the words that'll make them like you, but all that comes out is a dishonest sounding drivel that shocks you with its stupidity. The awkwardness looms over the conversation like a mushroom cloud, until the other person finally finds a way to extract themselves and run for cover. Then you just stand there,

How to Be Interesting
"Be interesting." It's good advice, but it's nothing new. You've probably known from the beginning that being able to interest readers is a crucial part of growing a popular blog. It's pretty obvious that no one is going to stick around unless they find your blog interesting. But how are you supposed to do it exactly? How can you "be interesting?" Far too much of what we write about attention and interest is abstract. We talk about differentiation, value,

How to Stop Being Invisible
Have you ever felt like your blog is invisible? You slave away on your posts, pouring every ounce of emotion, creativity, and insight you have into them. You submit your best work to Digg, Del.icio.us, and StumbleUpon, certain that people will vote for your posts and send you a torrent of traffic. You link out to other popular bloggers, desperately hoping that you'll grab their attention and earn a link in return. But it's like no one even sees you.

By Jon Morrow Care to play a little game? Okay, think back to your days in high school for a moment. Try to remember some of the class clowns. You know, the people that never seemed to get any work done, preferring to either tick someone off or make everyone laugh. Can you remember what they looked like?
