adCenter API customer webcast 1 PM PST, Thursday, Nov. 19th, with program manager and API team
- I want to rally renewed interest for our monthly customer webcasts. Some of our recent sessions resulted in issues with connectivity, we cancelled the webcast in September, and last month our promotion was buried somewhat in all the news about the release of the adCenter Fall Upgrade. Yet, we heard from customers that these are worthwhile opportunities for developers to talk with the product team members.

EditorialStatus element in the Ad and Keyword data objects is read-only
One of the new features in the Microsoft adCenter Fall Upgrade is that the EditorialStatus element of the Ad and Keyword data objects now gets populated with the specific object's editorial status. Previously those elements were not used. The EditorialStatus element is read-only, and its value is assigned by adCenter based on the result of the editorial review of the ad or keyword.

New Look for adCenter API Forum on MSDN
You may have noticed that the adCenter API forums are now using a new forum technology developed by the Microsoft team that publishes MSDN and TechNet. One of the new features is a better, more obvious way to format code within the post editor. This may help eliminate some of the issues we've had with Smilies appearing in code blocks in forum posts. Use the icon to add code to your post when writing in the new forum.

Notes from Web 2.0 Expo - Scaling Synchronous Web Apps: Lessons Learned from Meebo by Sandy Jen co-founder of Meebo.
Notes from Sandy Jen's presentation. Sandy is a co-founder of m eebo defined as live communication for Web. For people who don't use it or know about it, it provides a Web page to use Instant Messengers like GTalk, Messenger, AIM, etc. A few of the things called out immediately were - what would work for someone else might not work for you. She seems against consultants since team who develops will always know the most about stuff. Defined sync vs. async.

How can we use this for API info? "MSDN adds social bookmarking and tagging"
Microsoft has added social bookmarking to MSDN, the flagship Web site for developers using Microsoft technology. You can now share any bookmarks of helpful posts or articles that you've found on adCenter API with other users on MSDN. For example, if you've found a particularly helpful code sample or topic in the documentation for adCenter API, you can highlight it by sharing a bookmark. If you've found a helpful article on another site, likewise, you can share it on MSDN.

Hello, Here are a few sample SOAP requests for some of the V5.1 CampaignManagement and Reporting Web service operations. Please provide feedback within this blog on the value and format of these samples. We'll use that information to determine how best to include SOAP samples in our MSDN documentation for Microsoft adCenter API .
