adCenter Perl Example Code Issues
Wednesday, March 18, 2009, 17:13:06 GMT by Strohm Armstrong - MSFT
Some of you may have noticed that the Perl example code in the adCenter API documentation does not work correctly with the latest version of SOAP::Lite from CPAN. Our example code was created and tested using SOAP::Lite version 0.60. When SOAP::Lite version 0.710 was released, our Perl code broke. The problem was in the creation of the SOAP arrays, such as the columns in a report request. With SOAP::Lite V 0.60,

Hello, The Python example below shows how to create campaigns by using the Campaign Management Web service. Negative Keyword Bid Type Restrictions
Wednesday, January 28, 2009, 17:36:27 GMT by Strohm Armstrong - MSFT
A customer pointed out in his blog at http://sudhirvn.blogspot.com/2009/01/adcenter-error-code-1514-negative.html that error code 1514 will be returned when adding negative keywords if the keyword only has an exact match bid. This is correct and the documentation does not explain this. When setting negative keywords for a keyword, the keyword must have at least one of a broad or phrase match bid. You cannot set negative keywords on a keyword that only has an exact match bid.

- I want to rally renewed interest for our monthly customer webcasts. Some of our recent sessions resulted in issues with connectivity, we cancelled the webcast in September, and last month our promotion was buried somewhat in all the news about the release of the adCenter Fall Upgrade. Yet, we heard from customers that these are worthwhile opportunities for developers to talk with the product team members.
