They show us what it means to be a parent today - the joys, the challenges, the moments that make you laugh, sometimes wince and sometimes cry (in the best sort of way). There are entrepreneurs like Elle, Brooke and Meg of WhatsUpMoms ,

Missouri Star Quilt Company: Our YouTube Story
Friday, April 7, 2017, 13:16:42 GMT by John G. Doe
In 2009, my new quilting business was struggling to get off the ground. The recession had hit my family and my town of Hamilton, Mo., pretty hard and I had started Missouri Star Quilt Company as a way to earn retirement money while doing something I loved. But like almost every small business at the time, Missouri Star wasn't setting the world on fire. To help get the word out, my son Al suggested we film some tutorials and post them to YouTube. "Sure," I told him.

When will we have DVRs big enough to handle all the things we want to record? And when will we be able to get the channels we care about, at a price we can afford,

Unlike online video, people can't watch TV when they want, on any screen and on their terms, without commitments. Consumers have made it clear that they want live TV without all the hassle. They don't want to worry about their DVR filling up.

You know what's cool? A billion hours
Monday, February 27, 2017, 20:06:18 GMT by John G. Doe

It wasn't an easy call, but we thought it would help us make YouTube a more engaging place for creators and fans. And last year,

One billion captioned videos
Thursday, February 16, 2017, 17:13:54 GMT by John G. Doe
I envision a future where everything will be captioned, so the more than 300 million people who are deaf or hard of hearing like me will be able to enjoy videos like everyone else. When I was growing up in Costa Rica, there were no closed captions in my first language, and only English movies had Spanish subtitles. I felt I was missing out because I often had to guess at what was happening on the screen or make up my own version of the story in my head.
